Three Tipton County-area teams - Brighton, Covington and Rosemark - open up league play tonight while Munford hosts a team from Memphis in a non-region game. Here's everything you need to know about tonight's Week 3 games:

What: Covington (2-0) vs. Bolivar (0-2)

When: Tonight at 7 p.m.

Where: Bolivar

Last season: Covington won, 35-7

Local players to watch: RB Marcus Hayes, RB Jalen Fayne, QB Carson Ruffin, LB Lareko Burton, LB Andrew Scott

Storylines: On the surface, considering Bolivar has lost 12 of its last 14 games, this looks like a mismatch. However, it's worth noting the Tigers lost very close games last year to McNairy Central, Milan and South Gibson, three of the four playoff teams from Region 7-3A ... Covington's rushing attack, as it typically is, has been very balanced through two games. Last week, four Chargers - Jalen Fayne, Andrew Scott, EuMorrion Flowers and Jamarion Dowell - each rushed for at least 40 yards ... This is the region opener for both teams.

What: Munford (1-1) vs. Craigmont (1-1)

When: Tonight at 7

Where: Munford

Last year: Did not play

Local players to watch: RB Auvic White, DB Kelton Mason, DL Carson Roberson, OL Logan Cramer, DL Derek Ross

Storylines: Although Munford picked up its first win of the season last week against Millington, its offense has yet to jell. With five straight region games coming up next, the Cougars will certainly be looking to work out the kinks ... Craigmont hasn't looked great so far. The Chiefs barely beat Kingsbury, a team which has lost 11 of its last 12 games, in Week 1, and was blown out by DII St. George's last week ... Sophomore running back Auvic White looks like he's going to be a major weapon. He broke a 74-yard TD run last week vs. Millington.

What: Brighton (1-1) vs. Kirby (2-0)

When: Tonight at 7

Where: Kirby

Last season: Kirby won, 48-7

Local players to watch: QB Nick Johnson, WR Bryce Chaco, WR Tyler Burnett, RB Joe Williamson, LB Trais Hector

Storylines: It's hard to imagine a much tougher start to the Region 8-5A slate than a trip to Memphis to take on Kirby, a team that made the state quarterfinals a season ago and has won its first two games this season by a combined score of 82-0 ... Kirby dual-threat quarterback Draylen Ellis is one of the best signal callers in the state and will have to be contained. He's already committed to play at Austin Peay University ... Although they lost, the Cardinals' offense looked good last week vs. Dyersburg. Nick Johnson completed 16 of 22 passes for 262 yards, two TDs and no picks.

What: Tipton-Rosemark (2-0) vs. Jackson Christian School (2-0)

When: Tonight at 7

Where: Rosemark

Last season: Rosemark won, 16-7

Local players to watch: RB Mac Fullen, DE J.T. May, RB Tyler Byrd, LB Jordan Artzer, OL Matthew Coats, QB Payne Fullen

Storylines: Every game is crucial, of course, but this could be the most important regular season game TRA plays this season. With some very challenging league games coming up, this one is very winnable and the Rebels need it if they plan on making the playoffs for the seventh straight season ... Sophomore Payne Fullen (Mac's little brother) got his first start at quarterback last week and looked up to the task, completing 8 of 15 passes for 106 yards and a TD ... TRA's defense, led by J.T. May, Jordan Artzer and Jonah Van Kampen, was dominant last week. The unit will need another strong performance tonight.
