The Covington Diamond Club, the booster club for the Covington High School baseball program, will be holding its first Leadoff Dinner on Monday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chamber Center in Covington. Legendary college baseball coach Ron Polk will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for coaches and players of area high school baseball teams. Tickets are available from Charger baseball players or by calling David Sage at 901-497-2000.

Atoka Dixie Youth Softball will be hosting the DSI World Series July 25-30. Sponsorships are available for $250, $500, $750, $2,000 and $5,000. For more information, contact Hayden Harrison at 901-289-4197 or e-mail atokasoftball@yahoo.com. 

Brighton AYSO Soccer will be accepting applications for its spring season at the old Brighton High School Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 and 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sessions will also be held Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost of the program is $65. All players new to the program as of Aug. 1 must complete an application online at www.eayso.org prior and attend player evaluations on Feb. 15.  For more information call 290-8187.

Covington Dixie Youth Baseball sign ups will be held every Saturday Jan. 25-Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Registration fees will be $85 per child and $75 if you have three or more children.
