For some reason I love that commercial where the dog named Wego brings people beer when he's summoned.

You've probably seen it.

Somebody calls out “Here Wego” and the dog stops what he's doing and brings the summoner some beer.

As my favorite angst-ridden, underachieving, couch-dwelling teenagers Beavis and Butthead might say, “That would be cool.”

Anyway … The reason I bring this up is because the high school sports postseason is upon us, so “Here we go!”

The District 13-AAA softball and baseball tournaments will be held right here in Tipton County.

Munford is hosting the baseball tournament and it begins today with a pair games.

Fourth-seeded Brighton takes on fifth-seeded North Side in the opener at 4 p.m., followed by Munford, the third seed, against second seed Hardin County.

Losers' bracket games will be held Friday at 4:30 and 7 p.m. The winner's bracket game will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. The title game is schedule for Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Brighton is hosting the District 13-AAA softball tournament and it gets underway Tuesday.

The Lady Cards, seeded second, take on third-seeded Dyer County on Tuesday, followed by a game between league champ Munford and Hardin County for Jackson North Side.

The games will be held at 5:30 and 7 p.m. The tournament's title game is scheduled for Thursday night.

Covington's baseball team will host the first round of the District 13-AA tournament today at 6 p.m. against Gibson County or Westview. After playing round two at home on Friday, the tournament shifts to USA Stadium in Millington for games Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.

The Lady Chargers will be in Dyersburg this week.

The tennis teams at Munford and Brighton have fared well and begin district tournament this week as well.

In soccer, Brighton and Munford play a do-or-die district tournament game Tuesday at Munford at 6 p.m.

It just might be the best time of year for high school sports fans. Over the next 10 days or so, there will be a game somewhere just about everyday.

So don't be like those sedentary teenagers Beavis and Butthead.

Get off the couch and catch some games!
