Tree killers are back
I see the tree killers are back again. They tell you they are going to “trim “ your trees and when you are gone they mutilate them beyond recognition. In 45 minutes they destroy what took 37 years to create, then they go away smiling. What a legacy ! I pray I never need a job that bad!
Evergreen tree attacked
I am very proud of our Covington Court Square. The shopping is fun in the unique shops and nice places to have lunch, but the crown jewel is the majestic courthouse.
The very old trees that adorn the grounds are beautiful with their marked branches and long history. To add to this beauty a young evergreen was planted. It grew strong and healthy, it’s graceful branches sweeping the ground. It was the Covington Christmas tree.
Then, recently, someone attacked it with a chainsaw, cutting its lower branches halfway up its trunk.
I would rather have seen it chopped down then butchered up. What were you thinking?
Sad and mad,
Happy Father’s Day
Laughter is better than medicine.
I had the honor of meeting Miss. Bev Johnson, Queen of the talk show on WDIA and Mapco Lady of Memphis, a loving city because of good people making a difference in people’s lives. She has an awesome spirit of love from God. I also met Brother David. Thank you WDIA family for making a difference in our community. God bless fathers who help us all year every day. Amen.
Do you think people who love gossip arguing for breakfast, lunch and dinner are problems and not part of the solution? Call the 24-hour prayer line at 1-800-800-3222, extension 3.
We must uplift one another and build each other up and not tear one another down. Be a part of the solution, not part of the problem. In Jesus’ name, love is key to peace. Keep up greatness on WDIA’s entire staff. Peace be still on God’s planet.
Happy Father’s Day every day, not just one day. A real man respects everybody and loves God more than anything. A real man cries sometimes. A real man laughs most of the time. A real man loves God all the time.
Happy Father’s Day forevermore, amen.
Help me sing, sing, amen, amen, amen.
Thank you. One love.
