Coming off the road from another family funeral. This time my first cousin, Glo Dean King Davis, now of Jonesbrough, Tenn., formerly of Covington, the wife of Ralph Davis, mother of Ra Londa and daughter of the late Kevin Reese King Sr. and of LaRue King Albritton of Jamestown. Keep the Davis and King family in your prayers.
I traveled in my car with Uncle Willie Farrow and Aunt Gloria Sherrill Farrow of Covington and I was the driver up there. Wow! On the trip back, thank God for my cousin and Aunt Gloria’s son Roger Sherrill of Brownsville who was a big help.
Pastor O. Pearl Andrews of God’s Grace Chapel Church, Jamestown, ran the Sunday services for Pastor Kevin King Jr. of New Hope MB in Burlison. We were able to be there as we got in Saturday night we left right after the funeral. It came quite a snow Friday night early into Saturday a.m. right before the funeral’s start. By the time we got out of Knoxville, the roads were all clear.
I saw cousin Debra Burton at the funeral. She looked well after a bout of knee troubles. Didn’t get a chance for a visit due to us having to leave right after. She’s formerly of Jamestown.
