Richard Clay Turner, 70, retired electrician, died August 20, 2019, in Knoxville.  Mr. Turner was a member of Covington First Baptist Church and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  

He leaves his daughter, Deborah Sellers-Mooney (Garry, Jr.) of Arlington; sons Richard Clay Turner, II (Kanet) of Walla Walla, Wash. and Nathaniel Colorado Turner of Covington; father Roy Clay Turner of Covington; sisters Cathy Naughton of Covington, Becky Williams (Eddie) of McAllen, Texas and Betsy Trimble (Dan) of Cleveland; grandchildren Julian Clay Anders, Julianne Erickson, Dakota Turner, Colby Turner, Chandler Turner and Buckley Turner; great-grandchildren Abigail Anders and Hudson Turner and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Roberts Turner and his brother, Paul Allan Turner.

Graveside services were 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Garry Mooney, Jr. officiated.  

Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
