Jeffery Harrison Sanford

Mr. Jeffery Harrison Sanford, 48, of Covington,

passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Methodist

North Hospital in Memphis. Mr. Sanford, an avid

golfer, lover of animals, and loyal University of Tennessee

fan, was the owner of Jack Carter’s Men’s

Clothing Store and The Tobacco Center. He was a

member of the First United Methodist Church in

Covington.

Mr. Sanford is survived by his father, Robert Max

Sanford, Sr. (Jan), his brother, Robert M. Sanford,

Jr. (Daphne), his step-sister, Erin Baddour (George

Robert), and by his nieces and nephews, Max Sanford,

(Ashley), Britt Sanford and Weston and Raegan

Baddour, all of Covington.

Mr. Sanford was preceded in death by his mother,

Anne Harrison Sanford.

The services for Mr. Sanford were held on Monday,

July 22, at 3 p.m., at the First United Methodist

Church in Covington. Visitation took place from

1-3 p.m., prior to the services beginning. Interment

followed in R. H. Munford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials

be sent to the Covington Animal Rescue

Effort (C.A.R.E. POB 415, Covington, TN. 38019),

St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to any

organization of the donor’s choice.
