Rock the Block fireworks

Who doesn't love fireworks and fun on the Fourth of July? Locally, several cities and churches will have fireworks displays. 

Dependence Day celebration

When: Saturday, June 29, 6 p.m.

Where: Clopton United Methodist Church

Food vendors will be on hand and Ronnie Twisdale will perform patriotic music prior to the fireworks

First Baptist Church Fireworks Celebration

When: Sunday, June 30, 7-9 p.m.

Where: On the church grounds, 2105 Hwy. 59 South in Covington

Food trucks from MidSouth BBQ, El Toro Taco, the Sno Cottage and Kee’s Kool Kream will be on hand; fireworks show will begin at dusk 

Celebrate Independence

When: Wednesday, July 3, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Where: Poplar Park, Munford

Food vendors will be available and fireworks will begin at dusk 

Fourth of July Celebration on the Square

When: Thursday, July 4, 9-10:30 a.m.

Where: Liberty Avenue on the square

There will be a children’s parade and TCCA line dancers in addition to music by Jim Hardin, Austin Mason, Dion Chrisman and the Tipton County Community Chorus
