This past weekend was fabulous weather wise, which prompted me to wish spring was already here.
My granddaughter, Addie Kidd, and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and went to the movies. She had already seen the movie once but was begging me to take her again. The name of the movie is “Frozen” and it is incredible. With last week’s freezing temperatures, the theme seemed appropriate. The premise of the film is of the love between two sisters and the move received a Golden Globe Award Sunday night. It was a fun day just spending time with a grandchild, as many of you know.
This Saturday, the Win Club, which consists of widows, will meet at the Atoka Baptist Church at noon. It will be potluck. I hope to see you ladies there.
I also have my Indian meeting of the 901,3C, also known as the Tanasi Council, a Tennessee state tribe, the same day in the evening. It is going to be a busy weekend.
I would like to invite all seniors to the Senior Recreation Activity Center in Atoka. I have recently accepted a position on the board. We meet daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with many activities, including Bible study on Wednesday mornings at 10 and line dancing, chair fitness, scrapbooking, painting, ceramics, board games, cards and movies. There is also a potluck each Thursday. Stop by and pick up a calendar to see what activity you may be interested in. The phone number is (901) 389-8937. Mrs. Tyla Berry is always there to help you.

We are always thankful for the residents from Dunlap Retirement Center, who are able to be with us.
In closing, Mr. Bill took me riding over his property in his Articat over the weekend also. It was fun going up and down the hills and through the woods.
I hope you all have a blessed week.
I also have a pray request for Mr. Dale Laxton and Mr. Ken Bringle Sr. Thanks.
