‚ÄúChristmas Story‚ÄĚ to take stage this weekend

Ralphie dreams of getting a Red Ryder BB gun in ‚ÄúA Christmas Story,‚ÄĚ a modern Christmas classic set to the stage at the historic Ruffin Theater, opening Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. The show will run Friday and Saturday nights, Dec. 6-7 and 13-14 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. ¬†
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the movie, written by Jean Sheppard. The story focus is on Ralphie, a young boy, who with his friends and family encounters a spirited Christmas season.
Locally, the production is sponsored by King Cotton Autoplex.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students, seniors and military and are available online and at the box office www.ruffintheater.org.
